Babalao is locating in the north side of heavenly beautiful Zanzibar Island. Besides from their facilities, there are a lot of attractions, restaurants and shopping locations in walking distance. We've spent 8 fully nights and 9 days there and it was one of a kind experience in our lives. Thanks to Yahya, hotel's manager and our tour guide Salim, we've reached out to every attractions that we've wanted, like snorkeling with dolphins, skydiving, trying fresh fruits on spice farms and enjoying beautiful sunsets. In Babalao, you have a chance to start a day with delicious exotic fruits and local coffee, then ate different meals everyday. Everyone is kind and helpful, like you're not a customer but a really dearly guest in their home. I think it's really important when you've visited first time somewhere, really far away from home. If I've talk about Babalao, BBQ nights should definitely be in the discussion. Well, back in Turkey, we've used to BBQ's but BBQ with seafood is definitely something else, especially if they are local fishes and almost directly coming from the sea. Also, you may want to try their special cocktail and would definitely lose yourself to dance with other guests with live local music. When we were there, Afrobukuu (@afrobukuu), local group was playing and we've had a great taste of music, wildly fun dance and lots of laugh. Additionally, I'd like to pay your attention to a beautiful paintings around the wall of Babalao Bungalows. You may want to contact with the artist, Bob (IG: @bob_elichi95) if you want to have your own paintings from his hands and have enjoyed his sincere chat. We'd like to thank Ahmet, Maxim, Elena (we didn't met but heard a lot about her), Barut and Yeva (sweet pets of the hotel) for a exceptional hosting. From the moment we booked our accommodation to our departure, they made sure we felt right at home. They were very knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants, providing us with valuable tips that allowed us to make the most of our vacation. Manager: The bungalow manager was highly professional and efficient. They responded to all our inquiries quickly and effectively, making our travel planning a breeze. They were also present during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable. Their dedication to guests truly highlighted the quality of this accommodation. Bungalow Staff: The staff working in the bungalows deserve special recognition. They were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. Our bungalows were always clean and well-maintained, and the staff was ready to assist us with any requests. We felt like we were part of a big family, thanks to their warmth and hospitality. Babalao was our second hotel in Nungwi. I can highly recommend staying there. It is nearby to our favorite beach section. Our arrival was early in the morning at 8am. Check-In time is at 2pm. The owner allowed us to store our bags at the reception and so we were able to do a trip until official check in time without the heavy baggage. Thank you very much for that! At check-in you receive wifi password and very helpful information via whatsapp (recommended restaurants, taxi prices, market fruit prices etc). Exceptional service! The deluxe double room is very nice and very spacious. The rooms are very clean. Aircon and Wifi were working very fine. There is a lot of storage space for our baggage. What I love about this room is the fact that it has a hairdryer (installed on the wall), fridge and they even provide shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. This is exceptional for this price range. I haven't seen this in other hotels within the same price range or even higher. The hotel facility is beautiful with a lot of plants and has a layed back vibe. There are several hanging benches were you can chill. Really enjoyable. The breakfast is standard with a fruit plate, toast, selection of eggs as well as coffee and tea. You can take your breakfast at any time of the day. Very great flexibility!

The owners and all members of staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay. Max provided us with a very helpful WhatsApp message which included essential information on re the town including good restaurants, bars and activities. There was also information on local doctor in our room which was reassuring. Breakfast was excellent and changed every day. There was a bar open serving cold drinks all day and until late. We had lunch and ordered a chapati seafood wrap which was very very tasty and well cooked! The rooms were very cool with AC and fan, very clean and lovely gardens and flowers throughout. Pool was very clean and nicely decorated communal areas for sunbathing , lounging. Overall a really excellent stay and would definitely stay again if visiting zanzibar. Food, location , Helpful owners all round very well run place with a super relaxed welcoming vibe. Thanks guys!!

Everything was great from the minute i've stepped in. Max and Elena are really amazing people. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and at home. I arrived early before check in time and they provided me breakfast and allowed me to sleep in an empty room. The owners was always around and checked if im okay ready to help you with anything. You feel more like a family than a guest. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, I had a different type of breakfast everyday. The room was comfortable and clean. Fast wifi. The location is perfect just 2 minutes to the beach. I noticed the place is fully booked all the time, now i understood why 😊.
